France has a unique dual system of higher education (www.campusfrance.org/en) and differs from the main education systems worldwide by the fact that Engineering is mainly taught at the Elite "Grandes Ecoles" which have specific admissions procedures and degree structures.
The “Diplôme d’Ingénieur” Oniris is accredited by the CTI (Commission des Titres de l’Ingénieur), a nonprofit organization in charge of performing programme of accreditation of engineering degrees in France.
The French “diplôme d’ingénieur” is a Master Degree and is recognized as such in USA from AACRO (American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers).
The engineering curriculum lasts 3 years and is taught in French.
International students can join the engineering curriculum by applying on the Campus France Platform. They can be admitted either:

PM3F is a 2 years integrated specific curriculum of a Master of Science in Process and Bioprocess Engineering accredited by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research. This MSc involves 2 other curriculums, PM3E and MBE and is jointly developed by Oniris, IMT Atlantique and Polytech Nantes on the strength of their common Research Unit GEPEA.
Exchange students can apply for semesters taught in French (semesters 5, 6, 7 and 8), or for semester 9 during which courses are offered in French and in English (for courses in English, please see “fall semester study at Oniris”).
Students cannot take courses from different semesters.
In semester 9, students can mix courses in English and French on the condition there is no course overlap.
